Being with Friends Helps

(Written in February 2010)
Saturday was pretty tough.  I didn’t have anybody set up.  When I was feeling so lonely & scared & sad I called Ann to see if she could come for a walk and she said yes!  So we had tea.  I told her I was doing badly and cried a little bit.  Then I got talking about the White Mountain School (I had been asked to give a talk) and astronomy and paradigm shift.  When we went out to walk Bella, it felt warmer out.  We did the whole trail and then Ann left.
I felt enough better to go on with my day.  I did a dump run and shopped at Mac’s.

Monday morning was really tough.  I was badly depressed. Linda came about 12:15 and we walked both dogs on the Fox Hill trail along the river.  Just past the beach there was a section of ice over the trail so we turned back.  It took about 40 minutes.  Then we came back here & had cups of tea and I read some of my resource passages, & cried a little.  When she left I expected to fall back down into the pit of despair, but I didn’t.
