{"id":8446,"date":"2024-05-21T08:25:22","date_gmt":"2024-05-21T12:25:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jennydeupree.com\/?p=8446"},"modified":"2024-05-21T08:38:16","modified_gmt":"2024-05-21T12:38:16","slug":"what-my-heart-really-wants-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jennydeupree.com\/?p=8446","title":{"rendered":"What My Heart REALLY Wants"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-meta\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Reading through my blog, I came to this. \u00a0I really like my vision for the world I want to see. \u00a0Thought it&#8217;s worth posting again.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"entry-meta\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">(Written in July 2011, originally posted on September 9, 2011)<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>Wondering if writing something would help.\u00a0 I\u2019m feeling badly scattered.\u00a0 The computer has frozen on me twice today and I\u2019m frustrated.\u00a0 Maybe try a suggestion from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tarabrach.com\/articles\/trauma.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Radical Acceptance<\/a> \u2014 Tara Brach says something about needing to know what your heart really wants.\u00a0 I\u2019ve been thinking about it, and what I want is big and complex.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>1) The earth is healthy, with clean water, clean air, and resources being used responsibly and sustainably.<br \/>\n2) People revere the earth and care for it appropriately.<br \/>\n3) People in public office are intelligent &amp; compassionate and have high moral standards and are willing to work for peace and justice for everybody.<br \/>\n4) People who are disabled, sick, poor, having a hard time, can find appropriate, knowledgeable and compassionate help.<br \/>\n5) People know how to work together co-operatively, and everyone gets to do work that they really care about.<br \/>\n6) Schools are fun, learning is self directed, children spend a lot of time in nature.\u00a0 Making sure that kids grow up healthy and happy is the highest priority for everyone.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Reading through my blog, I came to this. \u00a0I really like my vision for the world I want to see. \u00a0Thought it&#8217;s worth posting again.
