Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on me.
\nI am a good person and I want what\u2019s best for everyone.
\nI intend to do the will of god
\nI intend to be who god designed me to be
\nI intend to live in the present
\nI intend to bring compassion to every moment
\nI am loved and cherished, deeply and totally
\nThere is nothing to fear
\nThere is nothing I can do wrong
\nThere is nothing that can separate me from the love of god.
\nI offer myself to this process.<\/p>\n
Yesterday was pretty bad.\u00a0 I recited the prayers as something to hang on to. This is such a cold, empty place that I\u2019m in.\u00a0 It\u2019s a lot like that first winter in Portland, Maine.\u00a0 I recite my prayer, but the words feel empty and meaningless.\u00a0 It\u2019s below zero again.\u00a0 The fuel truck has been filling my tank.<\/p>\n
Totally, utterly discouraged.\u00a0 Feeling like I\u2019ve wasted so much of my life \u2014 god wraps its arms around me and says \u201cWelcome!\u00a0 Whatever you have done or not done, Welcome!\u201d\u00a0 I become aware that god is not angry about the waste, god feels compassion for my struggle.\u00a0 I prayed for help \u2014 this could be the answer.\u00a0 I\u2019m trying to stay with God\u2019s compassion for me.\u00a0 God wants me to have a life like the \u201cdays of grace,\u201d God wants me to be happy and fulfilled, using my gifts in service to the community.\u00a0 God is not angry at me that I\u2019m not there, god has enormous compassion for my struggle.\u00a0 God tells me that my struggle to heal is how I do god\u2019s work in the world.\u00a0 It is not meaningless.\u00a0 Thank you, god, please stay with me. \u00a0 Of course!\u00a0 I am always with you.<\/p>\n
