\nWent down to see Caryn yesterday.\u00a0 Started sitting on a cushion against the south wall between the glass doors to the deck.\u00a0 Told her I\u2019d lost myself.\u00a0 \u201cHow does that feel in your body?\u201d\u00a0 It\u2019s all homogeneous and grey.\u00a0 Then I talked about being brought down by the political stuff.\u00a0 I sat with it for a while and began to feel pain in my heart and tears in my eyes.\u00a0 I don\u2019t remember how the session unfolded.\u00a0 We did find a number of things that pulled in different directions so I could see why there was a homogeneous mass.\u00a0 I also saw that I was disappointed in my circle dance community, that there aren\u2019t more activists.\u00a0 I talked about trying to write a description of my program and of the workshop.\u00a0 I talked about Eleanor\u2019s ongoing struggle.\u00a0 I talked about worrying about Bella, knowing she doesn\u2019t have a lot of time left, and wanting to spend every minute with her.\u00a0 Caryn commented that my program generates a lot of positive energy.\u00a0 That was a helpful reminder.\u00a0 I began to feel better, more like a person with heart and stomach inside.\u00a0 I said I ought to make a new map of my life.\u00a0 I wish I had done it right then.\u00a0 I felt like there were a lot of things to put on it.\u00a0 Right now it feels like there\u2019s more bad than good.<\/p>\n
One piece of it is Sacred Sites leading to Dancing the Sacred Calendar, leading to doing it at Rowe and Kripalu.\u00a0 Another is finding my fellow spiritual activists so I can feel supported here at home.\u00a0 And I remind myself of Marianne Williamson, that my activism gains spiritual strength because it\u2019s rooted in the truth.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
