\nLast night\u2019s dancing was in honor of Gaia \u2014 I built a centerpiece with Gaia, animals, plants, mosses, rocks, crystals, sea shells, and artificial flowers. People commented on how rich it was. We did \u201cHealing Waters\u201d and there were enough people so when you were backing out, you were solidly caught.\u00a0 It felt good. We did Gaia and Blessings of the Animals, Earth Love, Breathing, and finished with Standing Stones.\u00a0 At the break, I read them snippets of Paul Hawken\u2019s article in the new Ode.<\/p>\n
As a result of that article I got his book, Blessed Unrest: How the Largest Movement In the World Came Into Being and Why No One Saw it Coming I’ve watched it at least 10 times, I go there for a hit of hope when I’m feeling really down. \nSomebody sent a link to a YouTube video of Paul Hawken\u2019s talk<\/a> at the bioneers conference.\u00a0 He\u2019s talking about the \u201cbiggest movement in the world and how no one saw it coming.\u201d \u201cIt is non-violent, grassroots, it has no central ideology, a male vertebrate is not in charge…\u00a0 No one started it, no one is in charge of it, there is no orthodoxy. It is classless, global, unquenchable, tireless…\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Shared understanding arising spontaneously.\u00a0 There is no center, no one spokesperson.\u00a0 This is where salvation will be found …\u00a0 in diversity.\u201d<\/p>\n
