\nObama got the nomination!\u00a0 I\u2019ve put my homemade colorful Obama sign at the end of my driveway.
\nLast night\u2019s dance program celebrated Africa and African-Americans.\u00a0 Spirit of the Great Heart, Eyes that Speak, We Shall Overcome.\u00a0 Then we did my Nia choreography to \u201cBound for Freedom\u201d.\u00a0 They liked it, tho not everyone tried it.\u00a0 \u2014 Swimming to the Other Side & Standing Stones.\u00a0 Healing Waters. A good group of people.\u00a0 I felt really good \u2014 \u201con\u201d, confident, flexible, joyous.\u00a0 That\u2019s what I got from the Nia training.\u00a0 The Warrior in me is fully awake and functioning.\u00a0 Yes.\u00a0 I am a Shambhala Warrior.
\nIt\u2019s hard to believe how good and positive I\u2019m feeling.\u00a0 Despite the pains in my back and ribs \u2014 I can see that\u2019s getting better, but it\u2019s not all gone by any means.\u00a0 I guess it was the moment when I was worrying about money & gas prices, seeing the future close in \u2014 and I got angry, decided I wasn\u2019t going to go there, and created a vision of the world I want to see.\u00a0 I\u2019m holding that vision \u2014 or maybe it\u2019s holding me, because there\u2019s no effort at all \u2014 I don\u2019t feel like I have to do it all myself, I don\u2019t feel like I have to convince other people, I just hold my banner high and teach \u201cWe shall Overcome\u201d and \u201cBound for Freedom\u201d.\u00a0 Another piece is the Martha Beck book with its stories of Magic and Miracles.\u00a0 This brought back what I learned in DMA and for the first time I think I\u2019ve really got it.
\nJust threw away a whole lot of charitable bids from the last few months.\u00a0 Good for me!\u00a0 I\u2019m saying no.\u00a0 The Warrior in me is so much stronger!\u00a0 I\u2019m reading a new book by Martha Beck \u201cSteering by Starlight<\/a>\u201d and she talks about the importance of feeling what you would feel if you got that thing you want so badly.\u00a0 I always found that the hardest part of DMA \u2014 how could I feel how I would feel if I got real solid approval and support?\u00a0 I had no way to know.\u00a0 I think how I felt when I got Elizabeth\u2019s letter praising my vision commitment and generosity.\u00a0 That deep sense of satisfaction.\u00a0 That sense of success: I\u2019ve done it!\u00a0 I\u2019ve become the person I want to be.\u00a0 I don\u2019t need to keep striving.\u00a0 So that\u2019s the feeling I want to have and to be living my life out of it.
\nWhat else do I want?\u00a0 World peace and ecological sanity.\u00a0 What would that feel like?\u00a0 The morning I stood in the kitchen at Findhorn and felt my whole self relax because I was in a community that took care of the Earth.<\/p>\n
